How to Use Glass

How to avoid glass shattering?

Based on the principles of physics, " physical impact" and "rapid temperature changes " may cause glass breakage. Accidents can be avoided by following the correct care methods.

use

  • Glass is not heat-resistant, please do not use hot water or hot tea. Any liquid that exceeds 60°C for a moment may cause the glass to crack.
  • When pouring hot drinks (such as tea), preheat the glass with warm water to reduce the possibility of excessive temperature differences.
  • Never scoop ice out of a glass, use an ice scoop or ice tongs and position the ice cubes to reduce impact
  • Conversely, never put cold water or ice cubes into a warm or hot glass.
  • Not suitable for oven use
  • Do not put in microwave
  • Can be placed in the refrigerator, but not hot and cold
  • Do not heat with direct fire
  • Although it is not necessary, if you are concerned that the glass will affect the taste of the wine, you can rinse it with distilled water before filling it.

washing

  • Please clean before first use
  • Not dishwasher safe
  • Hand wash only with a mild detergent and non-abrasive sponge or cloth
  • Do not soak with other items to reduce the chance of impact
  • Do not use sponges or wire brushes
  • Please check your water hardness. Hard water has a high mineral content and may scratch glass or leave water marks.
  • If your glasses look foggy, soak them in white vinegar for a few hours, then wash with a mild detergent, repeating until all residue is gone.

dry

  • After washing, please turn the glass upside down to dry
  • Once dry, use a dry microfiber cloth to remove water marks to maintain the clarity of the glass.

Storage

  • Do not place glass in contact with other glass or stack it to reduce the chance of collision.
  • Hold one glass in each hand, use a cart, rack or tray if moving multiple glasses at a time
  • Please store the glass in a dry place. High humidity may cause moisture damage and fog the glass.

throw away

  • If it is small glass such as cups and plates, please wrap it in newspaper; if it is large glass, please put it in a cardboard box and mark it as "broken glass" or "contains sharp objects", and then hand it over to resource recyclers for recycling on the designated recycling day.
  • Instead of throwing it away, you can bring your broken glass to our workshop and we will melt it down for reuse. To encourage environmental protection, we will provide you with a trade-in price that you can use to purchase new pieces.
