/Exhibition Theme/

This time, the theme will be "glass", a characteristic industry of Hsinchu. At the end of winter and the beginning of spring, the home environment will be decorated in accordance with the season. The exhibits include wine glasses, vases, incense holders, chandeliers, decorations, etc. Different from the cool feeling of glass, the artist brings a warm atmosphere in this work, which will be presented in the old furniture, tables, chairs, and cabinets carefully found by the store owner, and integrated into the comfortable and warm space of LEE LÂI.

Lee Lai LÂI treated the store as his own home, and took care of everything from the big to the small. It took two years from preparation to operation. Artworks by Taiwanese creators can be seen everywhere in the space, and the cups, plates and utensils are all made by local craftsmen. It not only shows that the owner treats the space as his own, but also hopes to introduce the diverse aspects of Taiwan's new generation of traditional crafts through this exhibition.

The exhibition will only last for one week, just like the coming and going of seasons, which is fleeting. You are welcome to visit and experience the winter glass scenery.

/About the Author/

Chen Jianzhi is a glass worker in Hsinchu. He entered the glass industry because he likes craftsmanship. He studied under Mr. Lin Yaonong, the preserver of intangible cultural assets in Hsinchu City, and has been learning for more than five years. His works often show his concern for local customs and the human environment. He pays special attention to the two-sided relationship of things and pays special attention to the boundary between the ordinary and the abnormal. Inspiration is often based on life experiences close to him, such as factory culture, production history, master's conversation, wetland scenery, Hsinchu moat, Xiangshan sand dunes, temples, gardens, etc. Through glass as the main medium, he follows traditional and ancient expression methods and integrates the needs of modern life to reflect the fun of civilization evolution.
