While you can acquire pieces from exhibitions, galleries, or retail channels, sometimes the available works don't perfectly meet your needs.

Perhaps you admire the artist's style, but the size or color of the piece doesn't fit your home or office space.
Perhaps you want to add a piece of wall art for a specific location, but the last piece at the exhibition has already sold out.
Perhaps a significant birthday or anniversary for a friend or partner is approaching, and you happen to know they would love a personalized gift.
Perhaps your office needs a unique and eye-catching indoor or outdoor decorative piece, or a series of trophies to represent your achievements.

These are the perfect moments to consider commissioning a brand new artwork.

However, the charm of handmade glass lies in the natural traces each piece retains from the production process. Even when crafted with the same design, the flow of color, the position of bubbles, the angle of lines, the proportion of shapes, and the overall expression will still vary depending on the state of the glass at that moment. If you appreciate the individuality created by these subtle differences, I would be delighted to complete the piece with you.

If your requirements lean towards precise specifications, perfect symmetry, or highly consistent mass-produced quality, it is recommended that you thoroughly evaluate whether this production method meets your expectations before collaborating.
Process

Since orders typically schedule production capacity for the next six months, to ensure your needs are met smoothly, we recommend contacting us even when you think it might be too early.
Item

To ensure production quality, it is recommended to prioritize extending from previously produced works. Rearrange existing colors, styles, and shapes, then adjust dimensions, proportions, color schemes, or partial designs according to custom requirements.
This approach preserves the original aesthetic and maturity of the work, and also reduces the uncertainties associated with completely new development.
If there are no styles in the portfolio that meet your needs, you are also welcome to provide reference images, usage scenarios, or desired feelings, and we can discuss feasible production methods together.

Quantity, Budget

The common reference price for custom-made items is approximately NT$1,200–4,500 per piece. The actual price will be assessed based on the complexity of the design, materials used, production time, and quantity ordered.

For bulk purchases, pricing will be based on overall needs and budget. When quantities reach 25, 60, 100, or 400 pieces or more, prices can usually be re-evaluated based on different quantity tiers due to reduced material preparation and production costs. The purpose of displaying prices publicly is to help you determine a general budget range before contacting us. The formal quotation will still be based on the actual items, specifications, quantity, and production conditions.
Prototyping and Mass Production

The color, thickness, and shape of handmade glass cannot be fully predicted from a flat drawing alone. Therefore, sampling is a crucial part of the customization process. Typically, one to three rounds of sampling are required to progressively confirm the following:

  1. Overall shape and proportion
  2. Dimensions and acceptable manual variations
  3. Color, transparency, and pattern distribution
  4. Product thickness, weight, and user experience
  5. Quality range maintainable during mass production

The purpose of sampling is not to make every piece identical, but to collectively confirm the acceptable range of handmade variations and expectations for mass production, as well as the main characteristics the product needs to maintain. If colors, shapes, or combinations that have not been previously produced are used, more testing may be required, which will increase the number of samples and overall production time.
Dimensional accuracy and manual variation

Hand-formed hot glass may have a size deviation of approximately 1-3 cm, and may not be perfectly level, symmetrical, or consistent between pieces.

Actual variations will be influenced by the artwork's size, shape, thickness, and production method. During customization, the main proportions, intended use, and acceptable error range will be confirmed through samples.

If the artwork later needs to be combined with wood, metal, lighting components, or other precision parts, it is recommended to complete the glass first, and then fabricate the other parts according to the actual dimensions of the finished glass. This avoids situations where parts cannot be assembled smoothly due to manual errors if dimensions were only reserved based on drawings.
Timeline

Sample production typically takes about 2-3 weeks. If a second or third round of sampling is required, the overall timeline will be extended based on the adjustments made and the production results.

After sample confirmation, mass production usually takes about 6 weeks or more. The actual time will still depend on the item, quantity, production difficulty, and current work schedule.

Discussing needs, confirming quotes, arranging samples, and sample confirmation all take time, so for corporate events, anniversaries, or holiday gifts, it is recommended to start planning early.

Orders with a delivery time of less than 3 weeks usually make it difficult to complete sampling and quality checks; if this is the case, you are welcome to book your slot for the next year.
Color Gamut

The coloring agents for stained glass usually come from minerals. Due to variations in raw materials, temperature, thickness, light, and manufacturing methods, the envisioned colors and patterns may differ slightly from the finished product.

During the glassmaking process, glass is heated, stretched, and shaped. The same color used on different shapes or thicknesses may exhibit varying shades, transparencies, and flow effects.

If your business has brand colors, you can provide color and visual data for discussion. However, handmade glass is better suited for conveying an overall feeling close to your brand colors rather than precisely replicating specific color codes like printing or industrial coating.

Transparent glass uses some eco-friendly recycled materials, which may result in variations in transparency, tiny black dots, small bubbles, or flow marks. These phenomena are natural variations that can occur due to the materials and handmade process and generally do not affect the normal use quality of the product.
Heat resistance

The materials used in the artwork are soda-lime glass, handmade and formulated by the studio itself.

This type of glass is not heat-resistant. When using and cleaning, strong impacts should be avoided, as well as sudden temperature changes. If the glass experiences a significant hot-cold temperature difference in a short period, it may crack due to thermal expansion and contraction.

If a custom piece has a specific purpose, it is recommended to explain it at the beginning of the discussion so that the appropriate shape, thickness, and production method can be evaluated according to its intended use.
Engraving

If you wish to add names, company names, brand logos, commemorative dates, or congratulatory messages to your products, you can do so through hand engraving.

Hand engraving retains subtle variations in strokes, depth, and positioning, and will not have the perfectly uniform appearance of mechanical printing. This characteristic is suitable for gifts that require a sense of individuality.

Since each piece is engraved individually, we can also discuss engraving different names, numbers, or congratulatory messages on different pieces.

For requests involving intricate designs (such as logos), the minimum order quantity must exceed 50 pieces, and the laser engraving will be outsourced.
Packaging

The current basic packaging primarily aims to protect the artwork and ensure safe delivery.

Depending on the item and your needs, cardboard boxes are available, and a domestic wooden box can be chosen for an additional fee. If the artwork is intended as a corporate gift or a formal present, it is recommended to specify the occasion and desired presentation when inquiring, so we can assess suitable packaging options.

It is generally best to outsource professional packaging. Please also consider the tolerance range of each glass piece and the fit of the inner lining. For safe glass transport, the ideal is "no shaking inside the box."
