Small Light Exhibition
Eleven months ago, I held an exhibition at Jianjian Handicraft in the alleys of Dadaocheng, and the owner of Yilan Xiaohuajie discovered my work at that time. Jianjian Handicraft and Xiaohuajie are both cute little shops located in quiet alleys, always exuding a friendly and warm atmosphere, which reminds me of the street shops I would encounter by chance when traveling.
I think this kind of space is very suitable for exhibiting works. Because making glass is a very tense and exciting job, but once the glass cools down and the finished product comes out of the oven, it will never change, it will not get dirty, it will not get old, it will not decay, and it will never be in the world again. I think a place that exudes an atmosphere of peace and tranquility is very suitable to have glass.
The theme of this exhibition is lamps. Not only are there chandeliers of various shapes, but also the Baiyue Spring Equinox wine glass series, which is exhibited for the first time this year, as well as other small vases, jewelry boxes, incense sticks, and a small number of table lamps that are expected to be released at the end of the year. A total of more than 50 works have been prepared, and the exhibition will last for three weeks. Welcome to Yilan.
