This exhibition is held in an atypical art gallery, which is not limited to artworks or professional tea utensils, but focuses on contemporary living utensils. The surrounding atmosphere is closely related to daily life, and it is a rare municipal historical building in the city.
The exhibits continue the "Solar Terms" series. Since the blue vessel "Summer Solstice" launched last year, with the flowers blooming in spring, this time we launched the pink vessel "Spring Equinox", echoing the arrival of spring through the shapes of flower buds and flowers. The busy pace of life and work makes the seasons seem like a scene that is missed in a flash. Through the glass that represents eternity, we want to present the subtle state of mind of paying attention to the present moment in the exhibition.
In addition, the exhibition also presents all the current products of the "Plum Bottle" series, which only appears once a year. Although the production process of the plum bottle is very laborious, it is also the symbol that best reflects and continues the teacher's signature technique of the treasure bottle. In addition to echoing the spirit of the venue "Zhimei Shiguang" that values the wisdom of predecessors, the plum bottle is also an item that I cherish very much. Also due to technical limitations, once it is sold, it is almost impossible to make the same style.
In addition to the exhibition itself, the building itself is also worth a closer look. This was once the former residence of Professor Fang Dongmei of National Taiwan University. The interior space includes the bedroom, dining room, study in the middle, and a Western-style room for receiving guests. The building structure has been carefully restored, showing the delicate craftsmanship of plain bricks, stone steps, washed stone wall foundations, floor tiles and cypress beams and columns.
The building looks full of history, but it is always kept clean and tidy, which is the result of the efforts of daily meticulous maintenance. It is really not an easy thing.
Finally, we would like to recommend the Japanese dry landscape garden that can be enjoyed from both inside and outside the house. This garden is not only a part of the building, but also reflects the different layers of the work. As long as you make an appointment in advance, you can visit this place full of stories for free, so everyone is welcome to come.
